If you’re looking for a Viking jewellery gift or alternative jewellery for yourself, then this stunning raven skull and Helm of Awe Viking pendant could be for you. This raven skull pendant features the Helm of Awe (Aegishjalmr) symbol.

What is Aegishjalmur?

The Aegishjalmur rune was used to protect warriors and to instil fear in their enemies. The name can be broken down into two parts: 'ægis-' meaning terror or awe, and '-hjálmr' meaning helm or covering.

 What does Aegishjalmur symbolise?

The Aegishjalmur is a symbol of protection. The central circle represents the circle of protection within which the wearer is safe. The eight prongs represent protection against evil intent, perceived or otherwise, from all directions. Warriors believed that wearing this symbol would help lead the way to victory against their enemies.

 What does Odin's raven symbolise?

Ravens are essential to Norse mythology. To the Vikings, the image of Odin, the “All-Father”, seated on his throne with ravens upon his shoulder, symbolised his power to see into the future with his mind and thoughts.

I purchased this one before they added the other product to the website but I’m happy with this one I just would’ve preferred the chain neckalce instwad. Maybe I’ll order the larger one as well and just have both
